🧱 Böhler Press Plates – Precipitation-Hardenable Martensitic Grades

These are advanced press plates designed for high flatness, wear resistance, and corrosion performance, especially for decorative laminates and hardboards:

  • BÖHLER N702 (AISI 630 / W. Nr. 1.4542)
    • Hardness approx. 45–50 HRC, tensile strength 1450–1700 N/mm²
    • Excellent corrosion resistance and wear behavior, ideal for peened finishes in continuous production
  • BÖHLER N700 (AISI 630 variant)
    • Hardness approx. 38–43 HRC, tensile strength 1200–1360 N/mm²
    • Optimized for chemically etched surfaces with uniform hardness and flatness

Also available: BÖHLER V320, a carrier/wear plate (~35 HRC / cold-rolled), for lower hardness but good flatness and workability


🧪 Böhler Special Alloy Plates – Stainless, Nickel-base, Duplex, Titanium

Voestalpine Böhler Bleche produces sheets and plates from a wide range of high-performance alloys, using cross-rolling and advanced melting processes (ESR, VAR, VIM):

🏗 alform® Structural Plates – Thermomechanically Rolled HSLA Steel

These fine-grained structural plates offer excellent toughness, weldability, and formability:

  • alform® 355 M (EN 10149‑2 / EN 10025‑4)
  • alform® 420 M
  • alform® 460 M
  • alform® 500 M
  • alform® 550 M
  • Available also in toughcore® variants for enhanced toughness in heavy plates (up to 140 mm)

🌧 Weathering & Structural Steel Plates (Heavy Plates)

General structural steel plates compliant with EN standards, including weather-resistant TMCP grades:

  • S355J2W+M, S420J2W+M, S460J2W+M – weathering steels with high toughness at low carbon equivalent for long-term durability without coating

Hot‑rolled plate offerings also include standard structural steels S355J2W+M etc., in thicknesses up to ~200 mm (and up to 300 mm on request).
