1.4923 QT2 Round Bar Supplier

Looking for 1.4923 QT2, X22CrMoV12-1 or EN 10269 round bars?

WTE PowerSteel is a European supplier and stockholder of 1.4923 QT2 (X22CrMoV12-1) martensitic creep-resistant stainless steel for demanding high-temperature applications. We supply certified round bars with full material traceability, EN 10204 3.1 certification and fast worldwide delivery.

1.4923 QT2 is a quenched and tempered martensitic stainless steel specifically developed for components operating under high mechanical loads and elevated temperatures. Compared with the QT1 condition, the QT2 heat treatment provides higher tensile and yield strength, making it the preferred choice for critical bolting, turbine components and pressure equipment where maximum mechanical performance is required.

Designed for continuous service at temperatures up to approximately 600°C, 1.4923 QT2 offers excellent creep resistance, oxidation resistance and long-term dimensional stability. The alloy is widely used in steam turbines, gas turbines, power generation, petrochemical plants and other demanding industrial applications where long-term reliability is essential.

Why Choose 1.4923 QT2?

Compared with the QT1 condition, 1.4923 QT2 provides higher mechanical strength while maintaining excellent creep resistance and thermal stability. The material is widely specified for steam turbine bolts, pressure vessel fasteners and critical high-temperature components where maximum strength and long service life are essential.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is 1.4923 QT2 steel?

1.4923 QT2 (X22CrMoV12-1) is a quenched and tempered martensitic creep-resistant stainless steel developed for high-temperature applications requiring excellent mechanical strength, creep resistance and long-term thermal stability.

What is the difference between QT1 and QT2?

Both grades use the same chemical composition, but the heat treatment condition differs. QT1 provides a balanced combination of strength and toughness, while QT2 is heat treated to achieve higher tensile and yield strength for more heavily loaded components and critical bolting applications.

Is QT2 stronger than QT1?

Yes. The QT2 condition provides higher minimum tensile and yield strength than QT1 while maintaining excellent creep resistance and oxidation resistance at elevated temperatures.

What temperature can 1.4923 QT2 withstand?

1.4923 QT2 is commonly used for long-term service at temperatures up to approximately 600°C, depending on component design and operating conditions.

Do you stock 1.4923 QT2 round bars?

Yes. WTE PowerSteel supplies 1.4923 QT2 (X22CrMoV12-1) round bars from European stock. Please contact our sales team for current stock availability, dimensions and delivery times.
