1.4910 Round Bar Supplier

Looking for 1.4910, X3CrNiMoN17-13 or EN 10269 round bars?

WTE PowerSteel is a European supplier and stockholder of 1.4910 (X3CrNiMoN17-13) austenitic heat-resistant stainless steel for demanding high-temperature applications. We supply certified round bars with full material traceability, EN 10204 3.1 certification and fast worldwide delivery.

1.4910 is a nitrogen and boron alloyed austenitic stainless steel developed for elevated-temperature service. The addition of nitrogen increases mechanical strength, while boron improves long-term creep resistance and resistance to grain growth during prolonged exposure to high temperatures. These properties make 1.4910 particularly suitable for high-temperature fasteners and pressure equipment operating under continuous thermal loading.

The alloy is widely used for manufacturing stud bolts, threaded bars, turbine components, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, superheaters and steam piping. It is commonly specified for power generation, petrochemical and chemical processing industries where excellent creep resistance, oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance are required.

Why Choose 1.4910?

Compared with conventional austenitic stainless steels such as 316LN, 1.4910 provides improved creep strength and elevated-temperature performance thanks to the addition of nitrogen and boron. It is widely specified for components requiring long-term stability under high mechanical and thermal loads.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is 1.4910 stainless steel?

1.4910 (X3CrNiMoN17-13) is a nitrogen and boron alloyed austenitic stainless steel developed for elevated-temperature applications. It combines excellent corrosion resistance with high creep strength and long-term stability, making it suitable for pressure equipment and high-temperature fasteners.

What is the difference between 1.4910 and 316LN?

Both materials are nitrogen-alloyed austenitic stainless steels. However, 1.4910 additionally contains boron, which significantly improves creep resistance and long-term strength at elevated temperatures. For this reason, 1.4910 is preferred for power generation equipment and EN 10269 fasteners operating under continuous thermal loading.

Is 1.4910 suitable for high-temperature fasteners?

Yes. 1.4910 is specified by EN 10269 for fasteners with specified elevated-temperature properties and is widely used for stud bolts, threaded bars and other critical bolting components.

Do you stock 1.4910 round bars?
