Alloy 1.4923 / X22CrMoV12-1 – High-Temperature Martensitic Stainless Steel

High-strength creep-resistant martensitic stainless steel developed for use in steam turbines and high-temperature bolting. Offers excellent strength, creep resistance, and oxidation stability at elevated temperatures.

Hot rolled, quenched and tempered (Q+T)
(Optimized for creep rupture strength and structural integrity at temperatures up to 600 °C)

• Tensile Strength (Rm): 900–1,100 MPa

• Yield Strength (Rp0.2): min. 700 MPa

• Elongation: min. 14–18%

• Hardness: typically 260–310 HBW (~28–33 HRC)

• Operating Temperature Range: up to 600–620 °C (long-term service)

Used in:
Steam turbine bolts, turbine casings, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, fasteners for high-pressure steam systems and power generation

Spec:
EN 10269:2013 (1.4923), DIN 17240, VdTÜV 455, AD 2000-Merkblatt W10, PED 2014/68/EU compliant.

According to norm EN 10269 is material produced in two variants QT1 and QT2. Difference is in mechanical properties:

QT1: Rp0,2 = min. 600Mpa, Rm = 800 – 950Mpa, KV min. 27J

QT2: Rp0,2 = min. 700Mpa, Rm = 900 – 1050Mpa, KV min. 20J

(QT2not conform with PED 2014/68EU requirement for KV min. 27J !!!)
